Come get creative at our Super-Stories children’s Makers Space in downtown Kinderhook, NY, located in the old Rock Shop at 2 Chatham Street. This space is dedicated to a combination of free and paid programming for artists of all ages, including after-school, evening, and weekend workshops. The space is also available for private art-making parties, as well as other one-day events hosted by local creatives. We will continue to host projects off-site, collaborating with public schools and other non-profits too!

Join us every Saturday this month for Maker Sessions! These drop-in hours are free and fun for all ages, with new materials and open-ended projects each week! No experience necessary and all materials provided!

Join Marla Tolz of Sun Drawn for a hands-on natural dye workshop at Super Stories! In this class, young creators will explore the art of bundle dyeing using garden grown fresh and dried flowers, and other plants. Together, we will discover how to create color from nature, learn the basics of bundle dyeing, and transform an organic cotton bandana into a one-of-a-kind wearable piece of art. We will also use inks to create works on paper, and enjoy some light refreshments!

Rothermel Park Community Mural
​
​We are beyond thrilled to finally bring our collaborative mural process to a public space in our own community! We will be covering all four sides of the small storage building in Rothermel Park! This wrap-around mural was designed using artwork collected from students in our space over the past year. Join us for two paint sessions to help transform these walls!

Adult Art Club!

This is a very open, relaxed space for adult artists to get together and get creative. Artists are encouraged to bring sketchbooks, but we will also have all kinds of drawing materials available. Feel free to bring snacks or drinks of your choosing. No need to register.

After-School Art Club
Wednesdays, Starting September 17
3:30 - 5:00 pm
$20 per student
We are so proud to host our After-School Art Club for kids age 6 and up, meeting every Wednesday from 3:30-5.
This space is similar to our Summer sessions, with materials out on the tables for open exploration, as well as guided projects. This is a drop-off program and students can arrive any time between 3:30 and 5. No need to register ahead of time!
