Come get creative at our Super-Stories children’s Makers Space in downtown Kinderhook, NY, located in the old Rock Shop at 2 Chatham Street. This space is dedicated to a combination of free and paid programming for artists of all ages, including after-school, evening, and weekend workshops. The space is also available for private art-making parties, as well as other one-day events hosted by local creatives. We will continue to host projects off-site, collaborating with public schools and other non-profits too!

Summer & Fall Maker Sessions!

Finally! Our favorite time of the year is here! We are pleased to re-launch our Summer/Fall drop-in maker hours, in conjunction with the Kinderhook Farmers Market. This is a free, drop-in space for families and all ages to explore materials together. There are no set projects, just a variety of materials and open-ended prompts. Everybody is welcome and there is no registration required.

Crafted Crowns with Marla Tolz!

 

Join artist Marla Tolz for a two part workshop to learn to make a felt crown for a special little someone in your life (or for yourself!). She’ll guide you through the design process and help you to realize your vision, teaching valuable tips for working with felt, needle and string. No prior experience necessary!

This workshop series is open to folks age 16 and up!

This will be the final session of Mixed Media Makers for this school year, meeting 5 Thursdays, May 14 - June 11. In this class, students focus on exploring new materials with guided projects, some taking multiple sessions to complete!

Adult Art Club!
Usually the first Thursday of each month - meets second weeks April, May and September

Suggested Donation $10

 

This is a very open, relaxed space for adult artists to get together and get creative. Artists are encouraged to bring sketchbooks, but we will also have all kinds of drawing materials available. Feel free to bring snacks or drinks of your choosing. No need to register.

After-School Art Club

Wednesdays, Starting September 17

3:30 - 5:00 pm

$20 per student


We are so proud to host our After-School Art Club for kids age 6 and up, meeting every Wednesday from 3:30-5.

This space is similar to our Summer sessions, with materials out on the tables for open exploration, as well as guided projects. This is a drop-off program and students can arrive any time between 3:30 and 5. No need to register ahead of time!

Join us for OK Knitters, hosted by our friend, Priscilla Rapp of Nine of Swords Yarns. This is a lovely chance for local fiber artists to get together and share techniques! This Club will be meeting the third Tuesday of each month. No registration required.
